Remember this logo?
The Singa is the mascot for the courtesy campaign which was launched back in 1979. (i wasn't born yet @ that time) It is to encourage Singaporeans to be more kind and considerate to each other, so as to create a pleasant social environment.
Does it helps to instill good values in the citizens?
I agreed that it does encourage individuals to do gracious kind acts those days as compared to now. With the increasing population of foreign talents,I hope the campaign like this will be introduce again to instill good moral & courtesy in the hearts of the foreigners & Singaporeans. Why must it be done? Cause I've observed the unsightly public behaviour such as men rushing to get seats instead of giving way to the elderly, pregnant women & those in need of the seat, talking loudly on the handphone, pushing around when alighting the public transport, cutting queue when buying food... etc.
what say you?
